To apply for the Hand, Nerve and Microsurgery Fellowship Program, please complete the four-page Universal Hand Surgery Fellowship Application. In addition, we require the following:
- Your current CV/resume
Your CV/resume should include a listing of your publications, presentations, research and grant experience, activities with professional societies and any other relevant information about your education or experience.
- Three letters of recommendation
These letters should be from physicians or faculty members who are familiar with your work including the chief of your residency training program and a hand surgeon. Authors should address your professional, academic and personal qualifications, as well as an opinion of your potential success in the field of hand and microsurgery.
- A copy of your medical school transcript
Transcripts must indicate degree earned and date conferred from each graduate school, dental school and medical school you attended as applicable.
- A jpg headshot photo of yourself

Once your application is reviewed, you will be notified regarding interviews, which are usually conducted in February or March. We accept two fellows each year. Washington University School of Medicine’s Hand, Nerve and Microsurgery Fellowship Program participates in the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP).
